Indian Army Notification for the Recruitment of Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher)

The Indian Army has issued a new recruitment notification for the positions of the Junior commissioned officer (religious teacher). According to the work notice, a total of 116 vacancies are assigned to the categories. The Indian Army invites applications from male civilian candidates and active candidates only. Eligible civilian candidates can submit their application form online via joinindianarmy.nic.in no later than 03.11.2018 and serving soldiers can send your prescribed application form with the required documents to the indicated postal address up to 18.11.2018. Applicants must have reached the age limit and the required degree. Candidates do not have to pay any application fees for this recruitment. Download the recommended format available on the Indian Army Web Portal. Applicants must submit only one application. Join the Indian Army applications submitted after the last date and an incomplete application will be rejected.

Candidates who are eligible will receive an admission card for the initial selection, which will include the verification of the certificate of origin, a physical fitness test followed by a medical examination in the respective recruitment zones and regimental centers. The selected candidates will be subject to a written exam which will take place on February 24, 2019. The written exam will contain an objective type of question and will include two tests (paper – General Awareness and paper 2- specific to religious domination as applied). Marks obtained in Paper-2 will be counted for preparation of merit list.

How to Apply:

Civil Candidates (Apply Online):

First Candidates have to "Check Eligibility" on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and apply online for the chosen / eligible career option in the Indian Army. After that Click on the "Apply Online" section on the JCO / OR registration homepage row.

Civil Candidates (Apply Offline):

This mode of application is only for pandit(Gorkha), Maulvi(Shia), Bodh Monk(Mahayana). The offline application forma is available in the official recruitment website of Indian army.

Note: Online registration for civil candidates will close on 03-11-2018.

Serving Candidates:

The application can be written by hand or typed on A4 size paper in accordance with the pro forma forwarded to the concerned HQ Rtg area. (Near to the candidate's display location). The application pro-forma and postal addresses of the recruiting zones of the headquarters / regimental centers concerned are indicated in the end of the official notification.

Note: Last date for the receipt of application for the serving candidates is 18^th November, 2018.
