DIAT PhD Admissions January 2019 Batch:
The Defense Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) is the nationally renowned Institute of Technology for Graduate Studies. The Institute provides education and training in advanced technologies used by Tri-Services, DRDO, DPSU, etc. DIAT was founded in 1952 as this training institute has become a first-class education and research institute for DRDO and the armed force over the years. DIAT offers PhD programs (full-time) in the advanced fields of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics, Materials Engineering, and Applied Chemistry. Few scholarships from institutions are available. The doctorate selected applicants against this admission admitted as a full-time doctoral student will receive financial assistance according to the rules of the Institute, in addition to these candidates would also be entitled to a contingency grant (currently Rs. 15,000 per year) in accordance with the decisions of the Institute.

Education Qualification:
a) Master of Engineering/Master of Technology or equivalent for Ph.D. in Engineering/Science.
b) Master in Science or equivalent for Ph.D. in Science
Selection Process:
Admission to Ph.D. will be based on the performance in the entrance exam conducted by the department followed by a personal interview.
Important Dates:
Date of receipt of the paper copy of the application: 22 November 2018
Date of the interview / written test: 3rd / 4th week of December 2018
Start date of the program: 1st week of January 2019
