Online applications are invited by the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Ministry of Culture, and Government of India for the award of scholarships for promising young artists in the fields of Indian classical music, Classical dances, light classical music, theater arts, visual and folk arts, traditional and indigenous arts.
CCRT is the scheme for the award of scholarships to young artistes in different cultural fields. Candidates who are eligible for the scheme can apply for the government scholarship from the website of CCRT. Please note that applications are invited for the year 2018-2019 as of November 12, 2018. Total 400 scholarships are available for the current year (2018-2019). Each scholar selected will be paid @ Rs. 5000 / - per month for two years to cover his living expenses on travel, books, art materials or other materials and tuition or training fees, if applicable. The nature of the training will be determined in each case after taking into account the previous training and background of the researcher. Normally, it will be advanced training in the form of a guru/teacher or a recognized institution.
