RRB JE Syllabus 2019

As we all know that RRB has released a recruitment notification for Junior Engineers and Junior Engineer (Information Technology) recently. As per the notification, there are two stages of CBT exam followed by Documents Verification and Medical Test. Below is the syllabus for your reference.

Junior Engineer Technical Section Syllabus

The syllabus for Junior Engineer(JE) depends on the technical subject that you choose. As per the previous exam papers, RRB Junior EEngineer Syllabus for all engineering branches contains basic technical concepts of respective sciences, the candidates are applying for. (Viz. Civil, Computer science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Chemical). Prepare for the essential concepts of the core subjects of the respective branches.

RRB Junior Engineer IT (Information Technology) Syllabus

Syllabus for RRB JE Information Technology contains concepts of Operating System, MS Office, C/ C++/ Java Basic Concepts, Database Management System (DBMS), Basic Networking, UNIX, Web Technology, System Engineering.

RRB Junior Engineer Exam Pattern

The RRB Junior Engineer Computer Based Test (CBT) comprises General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning, and Technical sections. Let's have a look into the division of questions for the RRB JE Online Test.

  1. Overall there are 150 objective type questions for the Online Test.
  2. Technical Section contains maximum 90 questions
  3. General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude/ Reasoning, and Arithmetic Ability contain 60 questions. 
  4. Each question carries 1 mark and duration of the exam is 2 hours.
  5. 1/3 of the mark allotted to a question is deducted for each wrong answer.
  6. The cut-off marks for the RRB Junior Engineer CBT test will be declared by the recruitment board based on the ratio of the number of applications and available posts. 
  7. Candidates who are qualified in the CBT exams are called for Documents verification and Medical Examination.
